   INSTEK LCR-816   Description / Specification:
INSTEK LCR-816 2 kHz Precision LCR Meter

The GW Instek LCR-816 is a high-end digital LCR meter for component/material measurements, applicable to various R&D activities and assembly lines. The large 240 x 128 dot matrix LCD display provides ample room for two measurement items and setup parameters. All test modes are able to measure supplementary factors, such as, R/Q, C/D, C/R, and L/Q. 100 sets of measurement setup memory allow sharing a single unit among multiple testing conditions or sites. For a better viewing experience in a standard PC monitor, proprietary Windows based software is accessible via the RS-232C terminal (optional). Specifications. Test Frequency: 100 Hz to 2 kHz (245 steps). Basic Accuracy: 0.1%. Test Speed: 68 ms. Test Signal Levels: 0.1 V to 1.275 Vrms ( 5 mV/step ). DC Bias Internal: 2 V. DC Bias External: 0 to 30 V. Display Range Resistance: 0.00001 ohm to 99999 k-ohm. Display Range Capacitance: 0.00001 pF to 99999 uF. Display Range Inductance: 0.00001 mH to 99999 H. Test Mode: R/Q, C/D, C/R, L/Q. Memory: 100 memory blocks total.

Average Power
Average power means that the energy transfer rate is to be averaged over many periods of the lowest frequency involved. For a CW signal, the lowest frequency and highest frequency are the same, so average power and power are the same. For an amplitude modulated wave, the power must be averaged over many periods of the modulation component of the signal as well.

Dynamic range
Dynamic range the ratio of a specified maximum level of a parameter, such as power, current, voltage or frequency, to the minimum detectable value of that parameter.

Modulation
Modulation is the process by which the characteristic of one wave (the carrier) is modified by another.

Repeatability
Repeatability is the variation in a number of repeated measured quantities when measurement conditions are changed and restored. The value corresponds to half the spread between the minimum and maximum value measured.
